PLEASE UPDATE TO THE LATEST RELEASE OF THE EZCLAIM ADVANCED 7 PROGRAM.
The Sender Code given to you by Medicare goes into the Submitter ID field (Tools > Options > Submitter Information>Submitter/Receiver Library) Submitter ID.
The Mailbox ID given to you by Medicare goes into the Sender ID field (Tools > Options > Submitter Information>Submitter/Receiver Library) Sender ID ISA05.
Be sure to click the 'Login Setup' on the electronic billing screen before sending your claims. You will need to enter your Mailbox ID, password, and the BBS number of 1 904 356 0237.
Make sure the 'Zip File' button is unchecked.
Once your claims are selected, click the Send button. EZClaim will ask for a file name, we suggest using a date format (ie 050310.txt) then click Save. EZClaim will dial into Medicare, upload the file and download any reports available. After reports are downloaded and the EZTerminal window is closed, EZClaim will ask to analyze them. Click Yes to view the report. Be sure the Acknowledgement report shows the file was accepted.
Reports are normally available within 1 business day. To download reports, open the Electronic Claims screen, be sure the correct Submitter/Receiver Library entry is selected and click 'Get Reports'
The dial up connection can be tested using the Terminal Program (File > Terminal Program). Click the setup menu, enter the BBS phone number (including the 1 and area code), select the correct modem and click OK. Click the Connect menu item and you should hear the phone dial, some crackling sounds (like a fax machine), then the program will say 'Connected' at the bottom and the screen will show +++. This means you were able to successfully connect. You can then click the Hang Up menu item.
