Claim Templates

What are Claim Templates?

Claim Templates allow a user to save a ‘group’ of services then recall them at a later time.  This is very useful for billing multiple procedures performed on the same day.  For example, if the same two or more services are performed every time on the first visit, the user can save those services under the name ‘Initial Visit.’  When another patient comes in for an initial visit, the user can bring up the ‘Initial Visit’ template, select a date and the claim is complete.

Saving a Claim Template

1.  Enter the line items and click the ‘Save as a Template’ button.

2.  A box will open asking for the name of the claim template.

3.  Enter a name and click the Save button.  When naming the template, do not use the following characters: \ / : * ? " < > >

Opening a Claim Template

1.  Click the ‘Open Template’ button and select the template from the list and click OK. 

2.  Select a date from the date selection dialog box.

3.  Once a date is selected, the saved procedures are added to the services items. 

4.  Each template is added to the current services so it is possible to bring up multiple templates onto one claim.
